The Nation’s Mosque, Masjid Muhammad welcomed and hosted 28 women from 7 countries – Kenya, Nigeria, Kosovo, Tajikistan, Canada, Somalia, and US who came to attend Jumah (Friday Prayer Service) and receive an introduction on the community’s history and current involvements, services, and programs. This select international group of Muslim women are participants in KARAMAH’s Law and Leadership Summer Program (LLSP).
The LLSP is specifically designed to provide training that addresses the unique challenges facing Muslim women today, while, at the same time, emphasizing individual’s talents and opportunities available to participants. It is a unique program diverse in ideas and cultures, but unified in its commitment to developing Muslim women’s understanding of Islamic Law, Leadership, and Conflict Resolution.
