On July 6, 2016, the Nation’s Mosque at 4th street NW will begin its Two-Day Eid ul Fitr Extravaganza! After fasting for the month of Ramadan, it is time to celebrate as Eid is a wondrous occasion for Muslims all around the world!

Day 1

The Celebration begins! Eid prayer will be held at 10am and 11 am and will include an inspiring message from our very own, Imam Talib Shareef. The Nation’s Mosque will be transformed into an oasis of fun, food and family activities. There will be vendors, face painting, contests and prizes, moon bounce and music to enliven your spirit!

Day 2

It is time for Family Day! We will be taking our fun and excitement to Trinidad Recreation Center at 1310 Childress Street NE. Children and adults will be able to indulge in trackless choo choo train rides. There will be basketball, football, kickball, knockerball and volleyball for those with a competitive spirit. We will not be stopping here! We are going to have field day activities such as the three legged race and the famous potato sack race. Of course, there is more and then some more again! There is a newly renovated playground with a zip line along with Wii, pool, chess and checkers for indoor and outdoor entertainment! There will also be music and barbecue to accent this fun-filled day!
