The Boy Scouts of Masjid Muhammad participated in a Kwanzaa program on Saturday Dec. 27, 2014 at the fort Stanton Recreation Center 1812 Erie street SE Washington DC.

During audience participation segment of the program the scouts were given the opportunity to receive a lesson in West African Dance from the director of the Kacoram Dance Company. After the performance they were able to get a feel for the various drums that make up the Jembe’ ensemble.

To participate in the Boy Scouts parents or guardians can contact Mansa Musa Qaiyim at 240 706 0563 to arrange a meeting to fill out applications. The yearly fee is $24.00 per scout which includes insurance coverage for the scout and any active adult leader from the time you leave your house for a scout activity until the time you return home.
