Islamic scholar and master mathematician Dr. Abdul Alim Abdullah Shabazz was awarded the 2015 Legacy-Pioneer Award by the Paul Lawrence Dunbar Senior High School Alumni Foundation. This is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon an Alumnus of the high school. The induction was held on October 11, 2015 in the atrium of the newly reconstructed high school in Washington, DC.
