Chicago, IL (January 2, 2015) – The tradition continues with a lineup that promises to be another inspiring Saviors Day event hosted by the Ministry of Imam W. Deen Mohammed and slated for Saturday, February 21, 2015.
The event will be held under the theme “Heritage of a New People” and will feature powerful speakers including: A Lateef Qadar, Warithud-Deen Mohammed II, Imam Alfred Mohammed, Vil Harmon and Frankie Shabazz.
Saviors Day commemorates a legacy of more than 80 years in the United States and Imam W. Deen Mohammed leadership spans 40+ years. Imam Mohammed said: “Saviors Day should be a day to focus on our history, but also to benefit from the best of our past history. This is what it should be about.”
Saviors Day will be held at the Chicago Marriott Midway Airport, 6250 S. Cicero Ave., Chicago, IL. The doors will open at 11:00 am and the program starts at 1:00 pm- 4:00 pm. You should also make plans to shop at New Africa Marketplace and attend the annual Hadid Award Banquet which is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM and conclude by 9:00 PM.. This event will include Pioneer Awards; Hadid (Iron) Awards and Special Tributes to Karim Akbar, Rosa Shareef and Arthur Hearn.
Tickets for Saviors Day cost $25 and $75 for the Hadid Award Banquet.
