From The Imam’s Office:
Dear Imam Shareef,
On behalf of Black Women for Positive Change, I would like to thank you for reprinting the Non-Violence Talking Points books. It is truly an honor to partner with you, Sister Fitrah and the Nation’s Mosque to “Change the Culture of Violence in America.” Good news! It appears that the U.S. Attorney’s Office might use the reprinted Talking Points books with Pastors who are part of their local “Ambassador’s Network.”
Also, I would like to thank you again for the introduction your office provided for BW4PC to the U.S. Attorney’s Office last year. We are building a good relationship with them and they have invited us to support a June 27th Youth Summit, in Washington, D.C. They also want us to assist them with screening the film “On 2nd Thought” in various cities.
It would be great if we could talk with you soon to discuss ways to involve Mosques across the country in hosting Non-Violence events during the National Week of Non-Violence August 16-23, 2014. We hope the Mosques would consider hosting community events and/or screening the film.
Again, thank you for the original printing of the books, the reprint and the introduction to the US Attorney’s Office. We deeply appreciate your support.
All the best,
Dr. Stephanie Myers, National Co-Chair, Black Women for Positive Change
